Dukan Diet Phase 1: Attack Phase
Each phase of Dukan diet it is important, so we will start with the first one: Dukan Diet Phase 1. The success of the Dukan diet depends on you and your desire to follow the guideline of the diet plan.

Dukan Diet Phase 1: ATTACK
Duration of the Attack phase
This phase do not have an exact period of time that have to be followed, it depend on how much you want to lose.
Dukan diet phase 1 recommendations:
- If you want to lose over 20 kilos, it is recommended to have 7-10 days of Attack diet;
- If you want to lose between 10 and 20 kilos, it is recommended to have 5 days of Attack diet;
- If you want to lose under 10 kilos, it is recommended to have 3 days of Attack diet;
- If you want to lose under 5 kilos, it is recommended to have 1-2 days of Attack diet.
Dukan Diet Phase 1 Allowed Foods
During the Attack phase you will be allowed to eat from a 10 categories of foods. The last 2 ones are mandatory if you want to have extraordinary results of Dukan diet.
Category 1: Red Meat with low fat
- Beef: you can prepare it on grill or roasted (of course without any oil, butter, etc.). In this phase the meat that is allowed is the low-fat meat, such as filet mignon and muscle. It is mandatory to avoid the cutlets and ribs.
- Veal: here is allowed chops and liver (liver only is the level of cholesterol allows you).
- Pork and lamb: it is forbidden in this phase to eat pork meat.
You can cook the meat as you wish with the condition that you do not put oil, butter or other fat. The meat can be grilled, roasted or cook in the oven.
Category 2: Animal organs
- Liver and tang: the liver from beef, veal and chicken (if you have high level of cholesterol do not eat too much liver) and the allowed tang is from veal and lamb.
Category 3: Fish
- From this category is allowed all the species of fish, even the smoked one, especially salmon. Also, the canned is allowed with the condition that is not conserved in oil.
Category 4: Seafood
- Are allowed all shellfish: shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish, langoustine, oysters, mussels, mollusks and Saint-Jacques shells.
Category 5: Poultry
- From this category are allowed all kind of poultry except duck and goose. Also is forbidden to eat the skin from the birds because has high level of fat.
Category 6: Processed meat and Delicatessen
- You can eat low fat delicatessen made from turkey or chicken meat and also the beef smoked file such as beef Carpaccio.
- The only allowed ham is the one from low-fat meat.
Category 7: Eggs
- You can boil the eggs or you can eat them scrambled but without using oil. In the scrambled eggs you can add also onion or seafood, for a delicious taste.
- Are allowed 3 – 4 eggs per week and the egg with can be consumed without restrictions.
Category 8: Fat free dairy
- Are allowed the dairy with 0% fat (yogurt, cheese, milk). The milk is recommended only in very small quantity (in the morning with coffee). Also the yogurts with fruits are not recommended in the Attack phase.
Category 9: Water
- It is mandatory to drink minimum 1,5 liters of water per day. The water will help you to lose weight faster and also will help you to eliminate the toxins from your body.
- Also it is allowed to drink coffee (with milk 0% fat), tea and soda (light sodas with no sugar such Coca Cola light or 0).
Category 10: Oatmeal
- It is mandatory to eat one and a half spoons with oatmeal daily. It will help your body to eliminate the toxins and also to burn fat easier.
- Eat only the allowed foods,
- Drink 1,5 liters of water per day,
- Eat daily one and a half spoon with oatmeal,
- Every day do 20 minutes of exercises (gymnastic, running, walking, etc.),
- Can drink coffee, tea with no sugar and also consume spices,
- Eat every time when you fill hungry, but only from the allowed foods,
- Do not skip over meals,
- Do a stock of allowed foods in your fridge, this way you will not be tempted to eat other foods,
- If you are at the restaurant, take care to eat foods from allowed list and cooked without oil (ask for grill meat, etc.).
It is not hard to manage with Dukan Diet Phase 1 if you take into consideration all the recommendations and advices.
